Apple Music - Take a Daytrip

I've cut hundreds of interviews and producer duo Take a Daytrip might be the most memorable. Two creators working with some of the top artists in music (Lil Nas X, Kid Cudi, etc.) and elevating it. So many great insights on family, creative craft, discipline, and tons more. While every inspiring bit can't make it into a five minute video, I'll be thinking about this one for a while.

AMQ Furniture - Behind the Design

Steelcase company AMQ dives into what goes into their furniture design.

I love taking a handful of interviews and weaving them into a cohesive story that celebrates their personalities, and the hard work they put into what they do.

Three 30 minute interviews boiled down to a fun, digestible 1 minute and 42 seconds.

Atmosphere Teaser

Short and sweet. An edit I loved putting together a few years back. Who knew you could make an air purifier look and sound so cool?

Dir: Jason Baker

Prod: Gorilla

Motion Design: Jason Baker, Nate Vanderplaas

Kelley Uustal Law Firm

Four separate interviews from four separate short documentaries. This acts as a sort of teaser overview of all of those stories.

Miko Mini

Miko Mini is a robot toy for kids to help them learn. I was editing this thinking, "Where the heck were you when I was a kid, Miko?"

Rocket Mortgage BTS - LarryFitz

Here's a fun BTS edit for a Rocket Mortgage commercial campaign. I love BTS edits because you get to see how much goes into the filmmaking process, and the goofballs it takes to make it happen. Also: Larry Fitzgerald was one of my favorite players growing up so this was a fun 'full circle' kinda thing.

Client: Rocket Mortgage

Prod: Gorilla, Seth Carver Johnson

StyleShoots

Here's a cut edit I did a while back for a device that helps capture luxury clothing and accessories photography and video. But if you ask me? Definitely a spaceship.

Corewell Health - Virtual Visits

30 second spot for Corewell Health. I got to brush up on some After Effects motion design and had to really dial in the timing of each subject.

Client: Corewell Health

Prod: Baas

Dir: Ryan Weilert

Motion Graphics: Dan Woodliff

Auto-Owners

Sometimes the edit isn't flashy. Little social spot for Auto-Owners Insurance. I think I spent the most time on finding a glass shattering sound effect for the box. It's the little things y'know?

Still - Short Film

My first short film I wrote, directed, and edited. A true labor of love with a total budget of $1,500.

Still went on to earn a Vimeo Staff Pick and is currently approaching 300,000 views. I had a guy reach out to me telling me Still was the reason for him to reach out and reconnect with his dad, oddly enough. Forever grateful.
